Sold out

A bar for a standout look. This rare piece was designed by lighting and furniture designer Jean-Claude Mahey in the 1970’s for firm Maison Romeo and displays all the trademark glam of the period. Brass and black lacquer are used in large, chunky blocks for a powerful impact. The very top surface of the bar is shiny, reflective brass, smoothed and rounded, while the bottom, echoing its shape, is black lacquer with a sprinkle of gold sequins. From a distance, the piece seems to sparkle. There’s a large storage space around the back for stowing glasses or bottles of liquor. This dry bar would be a unique piece to add to a contemporary living room for a jolt of pizazz.
