This beautiful freestanding desk, named working table, was designed by Bodil Kjaer in 1959. Produced by E. Pedersen & Søn in Denmark, this example was made in the mid-1960s, and features a Brazilian Rosewood veneer with chromed steel feet. This piece is probably the most iconic Mid-Century desk ever designed, appearing in three James Bond movies (From Russia with Love - 1963 ; You only Live Twice - 1967 ; On Her Majesty's Secret Service - 1969), and more recently in Kingsman - 2014. Four drawers pull out smoothly for ample storage space, all drawers being locked by key, while the wide, spacious top allows for plenty of room for writing, drawing, and working in style. The desk comes with its two cabinets on wheels, each featuring two drawers, locking with keys. This very rare architectural piece has been fully restored with traditional stamp varnishing method, and is in mint condition, waiting for its new home. Each cabinet size is width 17.3 inches x depth 24 inches x height 20.1 inches
