Very elegant pair of armchairs created by René Joubert and Philippe Petit for D.I.M. after between 1925 and 1930. This model perfectly embodies the vocabulary developed by the duo during the early Art Deco period, combining architectural construction, clean lines and proportions. The perfectly balanced structure is composed of a slightly inclined backrest extended by large straight armrests, forming a compact and geometric volume. This highly controlled construction rests on a stepped mahogany veneered base, reinforcing the graphic quality of the composition. The absence of ornament highlights the purity of the proportions and the quality of the materials. Fully restored and newly upholstered in an off white cotton and linen fabric, these armchairs are a great testimony of the modern elegance developed by D.I.M. at the end of the 1920s.
