Desk table Patrice Maffei for Kappa brushed steel smoked glass 1970
A rare brushed stainless steel desk table designed by French designer Patrice Maffei for Kappa editor in the 1970s, it features two locking drawers and a grey smoked glass top. Following the 1970s stainless steel trend, led by Maria Pergay, this beautiful “ president ” desk features a steel frame, with ash wood body and drawers covered by stainless steel. The combination of steel and grey smoked glass forms an architectural timeless inspiration. As a fixture in a contemporary space, it would add vintage appeal—a trendy repurposing of a midcentury piece—and a chic elegance. Highly decorative, it’s been fully restored, glass top replaced, and is found in a very good vintage condition, with only few traces of use, and is truly a unique find.
