This French late Art Nouveau / Art deco vanity is attributed to Maurice Dufrene for La Maitrise of Les Galeries Lafayette in Paris in the beginning of the 1920s. The dressing table is completely veneered in various woods including amaranth, rosewood and sycamore, with the top, drawer and mirror part inlaid in radiating geometric and floral patterns. The level of craftsmanship and detail is amazing. This unique vanity has been fully restored and revarnished, and is in great condition. The vanity top height is at 76 cms - 29.9 inches, and total height including the mirror is 139 cms - 54.7 inches. A similar vanity from Maurice Dufrene is displayed at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
