Superb cabinet secretary desk executed by the Ateliers Majorelle in Nancy circa 1910. This piece presents a strong presence, entirely crafted in rosewood, bringing warmth and depth to your interior. Its elegant and perfectly controlled structure rests on a slightly curved base, characteristic of the workshop’s production. The structure is organized around a central fall-front panel decorated with a marquetry medallion featuring a floral motif, inlaid with delicate mother-of-pearl details typical of the ornamental vocabulary of the École de Nancy. The door opens to reveal a compartmentalized interior with multiple sections and two drawers, offering a high level of functionality. On either side, open compartments and additional drawers rhythmically structure the composition with balance and clarity. The Majorelle Nancy stamp is applied on the left side of the cabinet, allowing the piece to be dated to the early 20th century, corresponding to the most accomplished period of the workshop. In very good overall condition, fully restored in our workshop, this cabinet fully embodies the decorative language deeply rooted in the naturalist aesthetic of French Art Nouveau.
