Pair of Kim Moltzer brushed steel brass green lucite shelving units 1970s
Simple lines point to this beautiful pair of shelving vitrines units mid-century roots. Designed by Kim Moltzer with a beautiful sculptural geometric form, each unit features a silky brushed steel frame supporting nine display shelves with a central display niche with brass framing that features a rear panel. Each also features one spotlight mounted at the top so that can illuminate the shelves. Its symmetry and strong architectural design combine to create a subtle 1970s feel. It looks minimal and elegant, with its brass weldings and details, and would easily fit with contemporary interiors for a very subtle infusion of mid-century modern verve. All the glass shelves have been replaced by thick green transparent lucite shelves. Both units have been fully cleaned, restored and electrified, and are in a very good vintage condition.
