Paolo Buffa pair of carved warm elm wood brass planters 1940s
This rare and beautiful pair of planters designed by Paolo Buffa in Italy in the 1940s imparts a cosy, chic and glowing mood to a space. The warm elm wood has been fully restored and varnished, and remains looking beautiful and smooth eighty plus years later. Elegantly carved and shaped, these planters feature vertical-lined wood carvings all around, with solid brass jardiniere parts. They can be fixed on the wall, or suspended using the two brass hooks. The pieces feel delightfully modern for the Art Deco era, and charmingly vintage now. It is a very fine example of high-quality Italian sophistication and craftsmanship by Paolo Buffa, with a beautiful construction and finish. They have been fully restored and revarnished, brass repolished, and are found in a great vintage condition.
