Unique French desk white lacquer brass red leather by Atelier La Boetie 1974
Atelier La Boetie was a confidential interior design studio during the 1970’s in France that only made customized pieces commissioned by elite clients. This large desk, made in 1974 for one such client, is an example of the unique design and high level of craftsmanship the studio became known for. Designed in the Hollywood Regency style, the desk uses an intriguing color combination that feels at once comfortable and opulent: white lacquer wood and shining brass and chrome accents, and a red leather top. Three drawers pull out smoothly for ample storage space, while the wide, spacious top allows for plenty of room for writing, drawing, or working in style. This very rare piece has been fully restored to be fully functional in contemporary homes or offices; it is in very good vintage condition.
