Rare French Henri Pouenat gilt wrought iron gold leaf gueridon 1960s
Sold out
Designed by Henri Pouenat in France in the 1960s, this gueridon features silky wrought iron legs with a beautiful rounded top that have been gilded with gold leaf for a gentle warm golden patina throughout the entire structure. A perfect piece to use as an occasional table, end table, candle stand, drinks table or smokers table. It looks minimal and elegant, and has a lovely timeless aesthetic, typical of the French neoclassical and mid-century modern design. Its size makes it ideal as a decorative and functional piece in any living room. A similar gueridon sold for €5,000 at Sotheby’s auction “ Pierre Bergé : From one home to another” on 30 October 2018.
