Tomaso Buzzi Italian sycamore and brass commode 1940s

This rare chest of drawers designed by Tomaso Buzzi in Italy in the 1940s imparts a cosy, chic and glowing mood to a space. The warm sycamore remains looking healthy and smooth seventy plus years later. All rounded shaped, with four tapered legs with brass sabots, this commode features eight drawers, each one closing with its own solid brass key. The piece feels delightfully modern for the period and charmingly vintage now. It is a very fine example of high-quality Italian design and craftsmanship by Tomaso Buzzi, with a beautiful construction and finish.  It has been fully refinished, and is in great vintage condition.
